Role: Outreach Assistant
Contract: June 3 to August 30, 2024, 35 hours/week.
Start Date: June 3, 2024. 60-day probationary period.
Pay: $23.50 CAD/hr, paid biweekly.
Location: Hybrid. Online and in-person, mostly in the GTA.

This position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs. About the Position
Reporting to the Partnerships and Programs Manager, this role is responsible for enhancing and implementing the Ontario Culture Days outreach strategy. This person will play an integral role in increasing the impact of the 2024 Ontario Culture Days campaign within local communities by supporting artists, arts and culture groups, and organizations hosting Ontario Culture Days activities and celebrations at the community level.
Key Tasks
- Work with Hub partners and major festival organizers to register festival events, including communication, information collection and data entry.
- Work with the marketing and editorial team to register events, create listings or event collections for the Ontario Culture Days website and Festival hub web pages.
- Assist with photo collection, filing and outreach using relevant ONCD tools and systems.
- Maintain a relationship with festival organizers throughout Ontario, providing direction, resources, and troubleshooting for the upcoming Ontario Culture Days festival.
- Manage, respond and file festival organizer inquiries.
- Create FAQ communication templates
- Coordination of the production and distribution of marketing collateral to Ontario feature sites and events, including admin, information collection, packing and mailing.
- Attend Ontario Culture Days festival events on behalf of ONCD and assist if needed, and assess all elements of the events.
- Identifying and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborating with all Ontario Culture Days staff in a positive and proactive manner.
- General Administration as required.

Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years post secondary education in a related field of study
- Experience working in a similar role, related to the arts, culture and heritage sector; tourism experience is an asset
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
