For now we aren’t able to catch a seat at a theatre or watch a show in-person, but that doesn’t mean we need to miss all the fun. With performance venues closed across Ontario, and the season for holiday performances quickly approaching, many organizers have booted up their computers and have taken to the internet to showcase their livestream performances and digital recordings. Here are some of the upcoming shows, readings, and digital performances to count down your calendar this season.
Live from the Rose, Livestream

Nothing beats live music! For 2020, Koerner Hall has released a fantastic collection of live-streamed and digitally recorded musical performances. National Ballet of Canada’s The Nutcracker On Screen, Digital Recording

When it comes to 2020, “Ba Humbug” has been the understatement of the year, but these two theatres in the Southern and Central regions of Ontario have the perfect fix. Windsor Digital Concert Series, Digital Recording

Dinner and a show! The Ireland House Museum was originally home to Joseph Ireland, one of Burlington’s earliest settlers. This season they are turning back the clock by a couple of hundred years and sharing holiday traditions with A Night at Ireland House. Yuletide Spectacular Online, Livestream

Waterloo Region’s holiday tradition may look a little different than usual this year, but it will still be magical. Join the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, conductor Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, hosts Mike Nadajewski and Glynnis Ranney, and Canadian Broadway star Chilina Kennedy for some fan favourite holiday performances, and perhaps a few surprise special guests.
